ok well since I was a teen I have had trouble sleeping. Before I turned 15 I would go to bed at 8 and wake up at 5 everyday, but after the age of 15 I stopped being able to sleep normal. I would wake up everynight 1-3 times and I wouldn't be able to fall asleep until 3 am and I would have to wake up at 6 am. I was tired all the time. It has progressed now to the point where I don't feel tired and it takes me 3 hours to fall asleep no matter what time I go to bed. I get slightly sleepy and I have to force myself to lay there 3 hours and try to fall asleep. I tried only going to bed when tired, but I never felt tired enough and didn't go to bed until 48 hours later when I gave up. I usually don't fall asleep until about 4 am everynight. Once I get to sleep I wake up after about 4 hours and feel completely awake, but I feel ill and shaky. I want to know how I can get tired. Melatonin at any dose only makes me feel slightly sleepy. Sleep medications don't work. Occasionally I can fall asleep and I'll stay asleep for about 12 hours. This is driving me mad.
