First of all I've been to about 10 different doctors and none of them seem to care that i'm sick. I haven't even had one test done. They all say that it's just a virus and it will go away, but it hasn't. My symptoms have been constant for the past 3 months. I have also been to other forums and never get any answers. So if anybody has any ideas I would like to hear them. Anything will be helpful. It started with seeing dots. I see big black grayish dots in my left eye. Then I started to become very dizzy (the world will not stop spinning type of dizzy) Sometimes different body parts twitch. My latest symptom that started 2 weeks ago is that I'm always sleeping. I sleep for about 18-20 hours a day and for the rest of the day that i'm awake the world won't stop spinning. I'm starting to get so frustrated. The doctors don't seem to care. When I typed my symptoms on this website I got 687 causes lol.
I had to drop out of school because of this. I haven't left my house in a week because all I do now is sleep. I feel awful. I just want my life back.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank You

  • You should see an opthalmologist and a neurologist pdq. You could be having a retina detachment or stroke like symptoms.

  • As you posted yourself, your symptoms can be caused by a number of things. Sometimes diseases take years to develop into a stage where they can actually be diagnosed, and sometimes a diagnose is just missed. My personal opinion would be for you to start at one end and keep looking. The most common reason for symptoms such as yours would be the ear. The eye floaters common and not something a doctor would worry about presented on its own. The dizzy spells are most likely caused by something in the inner ear. An appointment with an ENT would be a good start. Fatigue is also seen in more then one condition and is a symtpom that can not only be disabling, but cause a poor quality of life. It is in my opinion a certain sign that something is off in the body. You should aslo ask to be checked for hyperthyroidism. It can cause dizzyness, floaters and fatigue and it can be diagnosed by a few simple blood tests. If the doctor you are seeing now does not take you seriously, then you need to change doctors until you find one that will. Hope this helps... Kiera
