If you hadnt read my post please read it under the title of "anyone pulsating-please help urgently"
My doctors are now thinking its psychosomatic which just makes me want to die more because i dont have the energy anymore to explain the severity and ***l of my symptoms.
I looked into somatic illnesses and it doesnt appear anything like this.
Please help if you can.
Thankyou
Mary

  • Mary Unfortunately I know how you feel. My unexplained drowsiness and fatigue my last gp kept trying to tell me I was just depressed and push for me to go on antidepressants. However the psychatrist and therapist I went to, great to get 2nd and 3rd opinions, both told me I am not depressed and that this is something medically wrong with me. If your doctors think that and you KNOW something is wrong with you... find another doctor. Sometimes when they can't figure out what is wrong with you its a fallback excuse. My uncle and I have been striving to find out what is wrong with us for years. Keep your head up. You are in my thoughts :-)

  • I do agree on the comments made reference Blaze's comments (totally don't agree to things he says) but is Lyme disease really that rare? I almost lost my life to it at age 6.. tick bite in my ear. Never thought it was rare especially in wooded areas or people with outside pets. Hmmm..

I almost lost my life to it at age 6.. tick bite in my ear. Never thought it was rare especially in wooded areas or people with outside pets. Hmmm.. 10% of all ticks in wooded areas are infected with lyme that sounds low to me..... EDIT: and theres about 80% of them infected with other things that mimic lyme and many other diseases, making lyme LOOK like its not rare, but it is EDIT: by the way i didnt make up statistics, i searched lyme and read around for a few days (before i posted my thread stating my illness on here) and i read that 10% (or around 10%) of ticks in CANADA alone are infected with lyme, and about 25% in other heavy wooded areas. and i also read the "and theres about 80% of them infected with other things that mimic lyme and many other diseases" from a lyme site aswell. actually i got both these statistics off the CDC and other well trusted sites EDIT.. again: also lyme was only discovered in 1970 - 1985. actually it was NOTICED in 1970's, and actually discovered in 1980 - 1985 (and if these arent the perfect years.. to bad, i know these times are VERY close to the actual years)

  • No its not rare.... probably anybody who has has spent time in the woods where there are the ticks which carry it has antibodies.... but it is more uncommon for folks to get sick from it. People can get sick from it but.... Sadly, the quacks use this sort of thing to make money from susceptable people who feel ill and are eager and desperate for a diagnosis and some help from anybody. http://www.quackwatch.com/search/webglimpse.cgi?ID=1&query=Lyme http://www.quackwatch.com/search/webglimpse.cgi?ID=1&query=electromagnetic These article are good ones to check out...http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/spotquack.html http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/ploys.html I do agree on the comments made reference Blaze's comments (totally don't agree to things he says) but is Lyme disease really that rare? • MaryI did go to a sleep study several years back. I also have a history of night terrors and sleep paralysis, but no apnea. I dream wayyyy too much though :-) Are you on a CPAP? If so that would help with the daytime sleepiness. Just a thought.

Mary ive just read u have sleep apenia, that cud really explain a whole lot regarding oxygen levels, urs r most likely falling low because of that. My daughter claims i have it as she says i sound like im fighting for breath during sleep, i wake up in pain & have to go on my oxygen (i have it at home now) i think i said, but still dont know why my oxygen levels nose dive through the day.......but i have noticed i do very shallow breath not on purpose, but when i do become aware of it i try to get into the habit of deeper breathing......also i smoke (bad i know) but lung tests where good, so lungs not the problem.Do u smoke Mary ? Also Nikilotta, try this & see if it works, regarding sleep paralysis, its something ive found but i cant explain why..........ive also have had awful bouts of these, & quite frankly theyve scared the life out of me, also had feelings of levatating "hallucinations" what i do now is, i sleep with a very dim light on in the room, ive never had one with the light on, i thought this doesnt make sence so i tryed the light off again & these bouts happened again......its weird i know but worth a try, cant do any harm, wud love to know if u find the same. plz let me know ! Byeeee 4 now all, Ruth:)
