Do these blood results indicate Anaemia?

I recently had CBC and only the abnormal results were as follows

Red Cell Count = 4.45 (normal range 4.50 - 6.50)
Mean Cell Haemoglobin = 33.6 (normal range 26.0 - 32.0)

Would this indicate that I am anaemic or are these results insignificant?

Many thanks

  • NOTE: These are more guesses than else: Looks like a slight anemia to me, probably macrocytic (B12/folic acid deficiency) rather than iron deficiency. Was the MCV (mean cellular volume) checked? Hematocrit (EVF)?

  • But what was the MCV? Low points towards iron deficiency, high to B12/folic acid deficiency. Obviously the same goes for low-normal and high-normal. :)

  • I am terrified I may have leukaemia can the above results indicate that ? I have been having blood spots in my mouth. My platelets and coagulation screen was fine.

  • If you had leukemia your white cell count would be abnormal. Your red cell results are reasonably normal, not something I would really consider anemic especially in light of the normal hemoglobin/hematocrit. *I am not a doctor*
