Hi my name is Justin,

On Saturday my girlfriend came up to visit me at school and we had sex, the next morning she notice a small area on her vagina was getting red but we didnt think anything of it and had sex again. On Monday she called me and said she had gone to the hospital, and that the doc thought it was herpes. Immediately I look down at my genital area and notice right away that I am getting something there as well. The next day she goes to another hospital to get a second opinion, now they tell her it is something called "molluscus contagious". On Wednesday I finally go to the hospital and get these bumps, which now look small and white with a bit of redness around them, and kind of concave in the middle, they dont itch at all or burn, I cant even tell they are there, however it burns when I pee. I go in and the nurse says she thinks it is herpes. Now we dont know what to do, we are waiting for blood tests and swab tests and its going to take a little while. I am 22 and I have only had sex with 2 girls, one a very long time ago, and the one now has always had her annual pap tests and has been checked before. When I read about symptoms I think it is the molluscus because of how they look, but its the burning when I pee that scares me. I dont know what the ***l is going on, can anyone help me here? The bumps are mostly on the base of my penis and my pubis area, there are like 1 or 2 small dots around the side of my penis and its freakin me out I dont know whether to put polysporin, or leave it alone. I'm constantly sanitizing my hands and everything around me, I feel disgusting. I think I'm losing my mind. What should I do????

  • I am writing because I HAVE GONE THROUGH 1 YR OF ***l and I want to help many of you. I have something different and its not an infection but still I think i can give you some advice.1. NO matter what unless its life threatening DO NOT LET IT RULE YOUR LIFEit might be un curable but you will LIVE. the sooner you force the shi**Y disgusting thoughts out the sooner you will be happy. Trust me the testing and all the embarassment will be very pressurising and it will change your lifeI think THAT is worse than the pain of some diseases.2. Even if its un curable docs prescribe external creams, cauterization , laser etc and there is some relief possible.3. In your case It might be herpes but confrim that with atleast TWO professional doctors. if its bacterial infection I will say its a better situation as it gets cured.4. Be kind to other humans and avoid contact to spread to them- you can cause a change in mankind5. Teach about these things to any children you can - STUPID SCHOOLS dont teach any such life saving things!!!!

  • Really sounds like "molluscum contagiosum." Look up some photos on the net- Herpes is more blister-like, and excrutiatingly painful. Molluscum is a virus similar to the virus that causes warts. Molluscum is contagious, and is spread through friction. If you caught Molluscum, you are at risk of catching other STD's- please protect yourself. However, this does not sound like herpes to me, and I hope it's not!!! Good luck-

  • They blood tests should be in. You don't need to guess at anything. Always wear protection until you are married. You may not be happy now, but you'll find out that you are lucky you didn't get HIV or Hepatitis...and be sure and get follow up blood work for those two.
