When I was younger I used to take spells where I would just pass out for no reason. I had doctor after doctor do every test possible and found nothing. They said that it would be something that I eventually grew out of. My last actual black out was about 10 years ago.

For the past several years though..I've been having a different kind of spell. It will hit me all of a sudden. I'll get really hot and need to sit on a cool floor. My vision gets so blurry that I can't even see. I get dizzy and feel like I'm going to pass out. So far, as long as I sit down and cool off it goes away in about 10 minutes. I would also like to add that each time this has happened I've already had something to eat..at least within an hour.

Anyone have any idea what may be wrong with me??

  • Dizziness, feeling that you are going to pass out and syncope (blackouts) are all caused when sudden change in posture causes a temporary decrease in blood flow to the brain.Your history and symptoms would most fit with this postural hypotention.Commonly it occurs first thing in the morning when you suddenly get out of bed but it also occurs when you stand up quickly after food since your blood has been diverted to the stomach for digestion, which lowers the proportion that can get to your head.I would not worry yourself about this. It is exceptionally unlikely to be anything serious in someone who is young and healthy. I would suggest that you get your lying and standing blood pressures checked at the doctor and he can reassure you further.PS. Please ignore the antenna nonsense.

  • I kind of understand what you mean- sometimes when I stand up my vision gets blurry and sometimes even dark. I don't know exactly what it is, but some people and my doctor have told me that it might be low blood sugar? Like the blood can't get to your head fast enough so you get dizzy
