Hello, I am very worried about what's going on with me right now. I am a 22 year old female.
Over the past month or so, I have been experiencing very strong dizzy spells. They usually come out of nowhere, usually when i'm standing, but occasionally while i'm sitting. It feels like a combination of my surroundings moving, and myself swaying different directions. I've had about 8 of these episodes within the past month. They usually last somewhere between 5 and 15 minutes. Sometimes they get bad enough to make me sick of my stomach.
Recently I have also begun to experience much smaller dizzy spells. They only last a few seconds. And are just strong enough for me to notice. I am having 7-10 of those a day.

My GP suggested anemia, however my blood test said otherwise.
I'm open to ANY possibilities and/or suggestions.

ThankYou

  • I'm so desperate! Please anyone . . . The dizziness is constant now. Unrelenting.I have been feeling the same way for the last three weeks, plus on and off tingling and numbness in my arm and leg. I have been having neck pain and spasms for quite awhile, but the off balance and dizziness has become constant. look around the on other sites(just type in dizziness) and you will see tons of other people are having the same problem. there are alot of possible causes, many having to do with the inner ear. this can bring on anxiety and panic attack symptoms. you need to see a neurologist and an ENT. I have appointments with both coming up. I hope you and I can both get this taken care of very quickly. It is terrible.

  • I'm so desperate! Please anyone . . . The dizziness is constant now. Unrelenting. I have experienced being dizzy just as you have described it. I went to the dr. and got medication that helped me get thru it but the dizziness always came back. I later discovered that I was suffering from anxiety and when I started taking Zoloft I never got dizzy again. That's been years ago now. Being dizzy is also a result of inner ear problems and you should have that checked out. In the mean time take over the counter sea-sickness medicine and I bet it will help. Good luck and God Bless.
