Hi There,

30 year old Female

I need some help. A few years back I was on here every day trying to find answers to what was going on with me. My symptoms back then were:

major anxiety attacks
tingling in spine and neck
swelling in fingers
foggy thinking

I went to so many doctors without answers for 2 years streight. Finally someone just put me on anti-depressants and sent me on my way.

Finally back in late 2007 an Ear Nose Throat doc decided to do some allergy testing on me (RAST/Blood) and found that I was VERY (IGE and IGG allergic to Wheat, Barley, Rye, Milk, Eggs. In addition I had slight reactions to other things like Kiwi, Pork, ect. I also had skin tests for environmental allergens and pretty much everything reacted severely.
Needless to say I immidietly took all the major offenders out of my diet and within weeks felt like a whole new person! I have been wheat, gluten, Milk and Egg free since. A year later after 5 years of trying to get pregnant I finally got my baby! Life has been fantastic and I have felt great!

Well, earlier this week I started feeling glipses of that same sick all over feeling again, especially Immediately after eating. I went to the employee heath clinic at my work since I work in a medical lab and they decided to run CBC, Thyroid, CMP, and the food allergens I didnt react to 2 years ago. Well the result are in and the liver test was slightly elevated. They also tested me for the few foods I didnt have a negative reaction to and sure enough I am now allergic to bananas and corn (IGE), my two fall back foods! By this time I started having major anxiety returning and feeling sick all over again. Symptoms I have now are the following:

dizzy/lightheaded (especially 30 minutes after eating)
tingling or electrical sensation up and down my spine and neck
diahhrea (i think from the anxiety this is causing)
foggy mind
mixing up words

The anxiety is starting because I am SO afarid of feeling like I did before and going two years of NOT knowing what is wrong with me and feeling like no one understands how I feel. I am so terrified of going back to that place I was at 2 years ago.

Does any one have any ideas of what this could be, I have eliminated all foods I am allergic to, I feel like I have nothing left to eat. I know this is a thing only most natural docs look at but could this all be caused by Leaky Gut Syndrome if there is such a thing? Or could Hormones be doing this as I just had my baby 6 months ago?

Please reply if you have any info or ideas for me, I just want to enjoy my life and new daughter again and not be haunted by these symptoms all over again!

  • When did you have your daughter?Have you had thyroid tests?what you have to be most careful about now is keeping your anxiety under control, worrying about being worried and feeling those anxiety attacks again can make you feel awfully low.Maybe you should ask your GP about post partum depression, many people view anxiety and depression as self inflicted illness, but as you and I know they cause great stress on the body which will manifest in different ways ie:insomnia, IBS, panic attacks. If you had your daughter recently I would check it out.I hope you find some relief soon.
