I'm been having alot of dizzy spells lately. Very randomly and suddenly, I get very dizzy and it feel slike the world is spinning. The sensation lasts for about a minute and I get these spells about 4-6 times a day. So my doctor orginally treated me for vertigo, but this has been going on for 2 months now and I'm not so sure thats all it is. I've been to a neurologist and had an MRI, that came back ok. Went to see an ENT and had an ENG test, and that came back ok. My doctor consulted my neurologist (they work in the same medical group) and now I'm supposed to go to "vertigo therapy".

Can anyone help explain whats going on? What it could be? What I should do? I feel like I am getting the run around and its really getting frustrating.

  • my husband had this problem for a couple of years. His doc sent him to ear, nose and throat specialist. Of course, being a man he didn't go. Anyway, he had bronchitis a few months back and took Doxycyclene (antibiotic) and hasn't had it since.

  • Hi, Does the dizziness occur when you stand up either from a sitting position or after laying down? Do you have any other symptoms? How about symptoms that you thought couldn't be related? Have you checked out "Orthostatic Hypotension" or even "Shy-Drager Syndrome"? http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec03/ch023/ch023c.html?qt=orthostatic%20hypotension&alt=sh 0r http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec06/ch091/ch091f.html#sec06-ch091-ch091f-1114
