I was on some boats 3 weeks ago, and ever since the ground wavers around, and I have no balance. I can barely walk in the dark. I have had this before after being on a boat, but it has not lasted this long, I have had an ear drum operation (30 yrs ago), I don't have nausea or the other symptons of labrynthitis, does anyone have any ideas as to treatment, or diagnosis? I feel I can't keep living with this condition, when I stood up quickly yesterday I fell over (in a shop) so it was embarassing, it does not seem to be abating at all.

  • No, I saw a doctor last time I had this about 10 years ago, and he seemed completely mystified (like I was crazy) and prescribed stemetil, although I did not have nausea. It seems there is no real treatment, so I am interested in alternative therapies. I keep thinking it will resolve itself, but so far there is no abatement. I guess I should go to a doctor again and maybe there will be a better outcome.
