My stomach became distended in October,my Doctor found Dermoid tumors on both of my ovaries. The tumors were removed in November my ovaries were saved. My stomach has not gone down in fact it has continued to grow. I look like I'm seven months pregnant now. In January I had a cat scan, ultra sound, and xrays of my bowels all which came back normal. The blood test all came back normal. I have seen four different Doctors and none came come up with a reason for my growing stomach. I have no pain,my only symptoms are that I'm getting tired alot, and I have gained twenty eight pounds since November, but my throid results came back normal. Does anyone have any idea's?

  • I hate to be a downer, but I have been struggling with this kind of swelling and pain for two years. I've had the tests and of course everything comes back fine. I had my right ovary taken out since I had pain on my right side. No help at all. Then it was, I am over 40 so it is just my age. Yes, the doctor actually said that. A friend of mine has the same symptoms and all her tests came back fine as well. I do try to follow a gluten free diet and that does seem to ease the pain. I was told about a show on one of the talk shows which told about a women who was having trouble getting help for her swelling and pain and all her tests were fine as well. She knew something was wrong and continued the quest to find out what was going on. She had a tumor that finally was detected. Another friend of mine suggested I research abdominal carcinoid tumors (sorry to be so negative). I swell when I eat or drink anything and my stomach continues to expand. I'm lying on my side typing this because I am so swollen! I need help as well. I hate to go to another doctor because they don't listen and won't do extensive testing. They just want another colonoscopy and then tell you to eat fiber. My stomach became distended in October,my Doctor found Dermoid tumors on both of my ovaries.
