Hi Can anyone tell me how soon viral hepatitis can be detected in blood tests? I've had tests done and theyve come up negative. My ALT from liver function is slightly raised (~1.5x upper level of 45 iu) and I heard this means viral hepatitis is main contender?. I've had mild diahorrea for weeks and have constant upper right abdominal discomfort associated with an ache in upper right back too like ive been thumped, plus persitant dry cough. This is getting me down as i dont know whats wrong. I dont drink much alcohol and whilst a little over weight - im not obese. James.
