my legs and feet have been swollen, and they itch real bad and burn, now my inner ankle looks like my skin got too full of water and burst open, and when air hits it it burns like i never felt before. it isnt healing whether i leave it open or cover it. what is this, i'm 46 y/o. i also have a sore over both my big toes right at the base of the nails, and it looks like my nails are going to pop off, they are curling up into a tunnel.

  • Why do you suspect it might be diabetes? From what you say it doesnt sound like the typical diabetic neuropathy because it usually wouldnt burst open like that, does your foot feel cold to the touch compared to your other foot? Either way I would recommend you see a doctor before your foot gets infected and that could cause you much more trouble than you want. Go into the ER if nessesary.

  • You need to get medical attention as soon as possible. You are retaining fluid which could be due to several serious diseases. My legs and feet were the same way this summer and I needed to get IV injections of a diueretic called Lasix and then on a regular regime of oral lasix.

  • do not wait and further complicate your situation---got to a doctor NOW, if you have swelling in your legs it could be also in other places of your body on the INSIDE where you can't see----take care of yourself, this is the only body you get!

  • you may have some weird unheard of genetic disease or something worse, please go seek medical attention before you loose motor / muscle function and need amputation. Don't wait just to the ER go before it's too late. Your health is worth more.
