 I'm not sure if this is the proper area for this post.. however, I could use help. My 63 year old mother told me over the holiday that she found a lump 5 years ago in her breast. About a year ago, she had a small pin hole in that same breast and now, that pin hole has grown to what she describes as half her breast, open, leaking and looks like -- excuse my terms here but her description and all I have to go on -- raw meat. She has not been to a doctor since she was 12 years old and feels doing so would be of no use to her. Is this breast cancer? Please, I need direction. Thank you.

  • This sounds like it might be an abcess. It can be drained by a doctor. I am sorry to say, that I have no idea if this can or could be cancerous, but it sounds like it should definitely be dealt with asap. Good luck!

  • Okay...she has a gaping hole in her breast, and you don't know what to do?! It could be different things, but only medical treatment can fix it.
