I had a blood sugar scare, 199 after fasting. Changed diet completely, exercised, walking 1/2 hour daily. First month down to 115. Next month 94. Then two months later 74. Lost 25 pounds with diet and exercise. Then all of a sudden lost 19 pounds in 17 days. Urine turned dark like mahogany wood stain. Had urine analysis, blood tests, urine cultures, ultra sound, and CAT Scan. Some gall stones detected but no pain from that area. All other organs appear normal, no swelling, no tumours, cysts, etc. Have stopped weight loss, down 52 pounds. Dark urine persists during the day. At night urinate 20 ounces every hour with no dicoloration. Have stomach cramps and gastritis alleveated for the most part with sodium bicarbonte. Doctor and I are stumped.
