I'm a 19 year old female that has been living with daily nausea for the past 2-3 years. I've been to the doctor for a check up but nothing came up. It seems to get even worse on days before my period, could it have anything to do with birth control? I know for sure I'm not pregnant, I've tried cutting out certain types of food but nothing seems to work. Occasionally, I'll get really sick to the point where I'm unable to even get up. The funny thing is that I've only actually thrown up once, the day after Thanksgiving. I've also had problems with constant constipation and migraines, anybody have any idea of what it could be?

  • Hi. I had to respond because I have experienced the same thing. I'm 24 now, and my struggle with nausea started when I was 18. It has come and gone multiple times over the past 6 years. What I've noticed for myself is that it seems to be linked to feelings of depression and anxiety. I have also noticed that it seems to get worse when I don't eat. I have had to force myself to at least nibble on days when I'm experiencing it. You have to keep your blood-sugar levels stable, otherwise this problem can lead to other serious problems like Hypoglycemia or Diabetes. You should also go get tested for allergies. I have multiple ones, and eliminating allergens seems to have helped me. I would stay away from harsh chemicals/pills, and alcohol, and anything else that could upset your stomach. (That includes Aspirin.) About "the pill", I started having my nausea before I went on the pill, and didn't notice too much difference once I was on it. I am on a gentle one called "Yasmin". But I have heard of women experincing nausea when they have a hormonal imbalance. You can get your hormones tested through a blood test. Also, look into the effects of oral contraceptives on the body - I have read in "Women's bodies, Women's Wisdom" that they can strip your body of minerals and B-vitamins. So you should probably take supplements. But I would definitely look into any emotional causes that may be present. I have been dealing with childhood issues that I feel are affecting my health. I certainly find that my stress seems to go straight to my stomach.

  • Have you tried addressing the constipation? Try taking daily fiber drinks or something for a week or two and see if that helps the constipation... and then see if that helps your general state. Also, are you drinking enough water? I would totally agree that the emotional and/or hormonal and/or allergic things could quite be happening, but I'd prefer to 'start simple' and go from there. I could be wrong but if the constipation isn't helped long-term by the reliable daily fiber intake, it might be time to see the doctor again.

  • Nausea can be a symptom of many many illnesses. Also there's differnt types of nausea. Like the kind when your stomach is empty and your blood sugar crashed. Then there's the constant ongoing daily unending kind it seems you're describing. I've had that for years too w/out any explanation. I know estrogen dominance can cause nausea and also low stomach acid from eating too much sugar or being hypothyroid. Try eating some low fat organic yogurt that has probiotics in it and see if that helps. It's very soothing. You can eat it all day long when you get hungry to get your stomach / intestines back in gear.

  • My son has had nausea since he was 9, he is now 13. For the first two years he had stomach nausea and cramping. He was seen by a gastroentrologist and all tests were negative. Then the migraines started. He was diagnosed with Abdominal Migraines. Sometimes he gets a migraine with the nausea, sometimes he doesn't. He is now being treated by a neurologist. After several medications, the migraines are under control. We have not found a medicine that works for him for the nausea yet. Check with a Neurologist.

Sometimes I can't sleep at night because I wake up and toss and turn from the nausea. I also suffer frequent constipation and also diarrhea. Whenever I mention to anyone I have been feeling nausea frequently people think I'm pregnant. I know I'm not. I am also on Yasmin and taking an anti-depresent. I don't know what to do about my problem and who to go see?

  • I'm 29yrs old and I'm also taking Yasmin and an anti depressant. I'm so happy i found this website. I have the exact same symptoms plus i have vaginosis(which causes some itchyness even though there's no infection!) I just found out that this can be a symptom of taking Yasmin too. I don't know whether to change to a different pill, but i'm definitely going to visit my GP again

  • get off the sucralose, splenda and aspartame- found in diet sodaseverything really, even in gum and children's vitamins : \read labels and do not eat this stuff anymore it is poison and it sounds like you have most of the symptomsread about them on the internet check the symptoms for each one- disregard the Industry(company who made the product) advertisements on different sites that tell you they are safe - there are enough testimonials and people who will tell you on facebook groupsyoutubeand google that they were harmed by them and know because they were where you are and stopped eating them and now are better.Trial and error, they learned what was causing them these problems- now you know too!

  • I am 19 years old and for the past few months I have had daily nausea. Its not constant but it does come back throughout the day. I was taking Prozac until February and I am currently taking ortho tri cyclin low. My stools are not quite like diarrhea but they're not normal either. I also have bowl movements multiple times during the day. Is this anything like yours?

  • I have experienced this for many years and can not seem to find a reason for it. I do notice that it comes on at times when i am worried about something or have something on my mind. I have had blood tests and everything came back normal, my next step is to have an allergy test to rule that out. I think ruling out obvious ones like blood work and allergies is what you should do first then go the mental route.

That is a one way ticket to meds for the rest of your life and a roller coaster ride that is worse than the one you feel you are on now.If you are having nausea, it could be many things that could trigger this:menstrual hormonalfood contaminantsenvironmentwhat you need to do is keep a log and write down everything you:eatdrinkthe daythe timeand where you arethen insert the "nausea" moments when they occurthis way you start to "see" things and what the reason will reveal itself! I went to an amazing chiropractor who, after a few adjustments, cured me. perhaps a visit to a muscular/skeletal doctor or chiropractor could help? just one suggestion that is non-invasive and couldn't hurt...hope you feel better!!

If you have been using them for as long or longer than you have been getting these symptoms then it is probably related. While I know that that may be a hard place to put you - your health and safety are more valuable than having regular sex. I have discovered that liver toxic symptoms are the same as yours and this pill and or combined use of alcohol may be what has caused stress to your liver. The symptoms of a dysfunctional liver : Nausea, vomiting, meaning the liver is "toxic"the liver must excrete the fat and kidneys in your body and these fill up with toxins when you ingest them. This is why the liver stresses. Heavy metals (mercury found in tuna and aluminum found in pots, pans, aluminum foils, tins, deodorant, OTCs, and Pharmaceuticals, shots, )other symptoms brought on by a sick liver can be : skin conditions: rashes, eczema, dermatitis, fatigue, headaches, pallor, dizziness, irritability, and poor digestion. Remember it does not have to be all of these, just some because all of us have variations in our bodies and we react differently to different things. So even if you get one of the above you know why you are getting it. Another symptom from liver disorders is JaundiceNauseaLoss of appetitedark colored urineyellowish gray bowel movements abdominal pain or ascites (swelling in the abdominal area caused by accumulating fluid)itching or hivesdisturbed sleep (build up of toxins)general fatigueloss of energylack of sex drivemany skin conditions may be related to dysfunction of the liverTHUS cleanse the liverfiltered waterCarrot seed oilmilk thistleread up on it and seek out essential oils to help you cleanse the liverI recommend buying Essential Oils Desk Reference and learning to take care of your body so you have confidence when you decide to lean on your own understanding instead of running to the doctor who is going to fill you with pills so your body just stays sick and makes you dependent on him/her. Yes, these people are not evil but they are in the business of dispensing shots and pills. If you want health you need to wean yourself away fro not only the chemicals found there in but also in the pharmacy. (OTCs and Px) Learn to study and read and go with the best products in the world, therapeutic-grade essential oils and visit www.youRno1.org Because you are. Study and use natural products to stay clean and healthy. Your body knows what to do now you just have to. http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/images/misc/progress.gif What can cause the liver to become stressed? OK, in the ingredients of your birth control pills do you see Aluminum? That is toxic- Read your labels always and make sure you do not eat or ingest or put on your body via deodorants, shampoos, the following products: aluminum or "alum" shots (flu, vaccines, etc...- esp. not more than one per six months and that is with a lot of cleansing...(ful shots, never, they are totally unnec. ) Hydrogenated oils Sucralose Aspartame, aspartic acid, acesulfame K, Acesulfame Potassium, Sodium Laurel Sulfate (found in shampoos and other things to apply on the skin, scalp...) artificial flavors artificial coloring pharmaceuticals which stress the liver alcohol which stresses the liver and the reason for the above list: Heavy Metal symptoms:fatigue, headaches, muscle pains, digestive disturbances, dizziness, depression, mental confusion; multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's or even cancers. (flu shots and other vaccines, shots all have heavy metals in them, EACH!) They also cause seizures when too much is put into the body so this is why children who get all the shots in one day end up seizing for weeks sometimes for years sometimes they even die or become mentall retarded. When the liver is stressed: and pills, alcohol stress livers as do poor diets based on junk, fat, oils, sugars, symptoms are:Some people get a rash because medicines stress the liver and also cause their own side effects. If you google the ingredients before you take anything you will know what to expect after taking them. If you are delicate due to your poor nutrition, drinking, or other hidden ingredients labels in your food then that is stressing your organs and the OTC takes you over the edge. Those people who say, "I am so careful with what I eat" I don't believe it - only because I am too and lo and behold I have found after the fact that I too ingested some sucralose or aspartame without knowing it until I discovered a symptom. WHy? because those poisons are in over 6,000 and 9,000 products, and the "fad" is to put them into everything now- short of going to the farm for your food- because they have discovered that the sucralose is addictive and this is how I discovered it in some of the foods I was making my favorite! Good thing I suspected due to my own behavior and nipped it in the bud as soon as I found out. Read and seek the perfect natural alternative to medicines or OTCs so you won't have to go to the Dr. but instead will know what to do to have a healthy body. (Dr. may be good people but they are in the business of dispensing drugs and that is not good for you.) www.youRno1.org wwwyoungliving.org/gil for natural alternatives and for an essential oil desk reference so you can learn to take care of yourself, the natural way. I did ! and I won't ever put any of those drugs into my body or on my skin again.
