Some of you im sure remember the choking game. Some of you im sure played as children. For those of you who dont know what it is, it is when someone would press their hands on both sides of your throat causing your oxygen level to decrease dramatically causing the person to pass out. Well i played that game a lot as a kid. It is now almost 11 years later, and i cant stop cutting off my own air supply. I do it about every 15 seconds now, I dont pass out or anything, i make sure i dont do it for that long. Sometimes it causes me severe headaches and i am almost positive it is the cause of my epilepsy which ive had for about 6 years. I've tried forcing myself to stop, but i just cant, i forget and start doing it again. It's almost like my body is now used to having a certain amount of air therefore having to cut off my supply because i am now getting too much due to the self asphyxiation. I have talked to 2 psychiatrists about it and neither one could give me an answer or any help. This is my last resort, advice, something. Tell me im not the only one because i feel i am. Or if you know anyone with the same problem, just, please, help me.

  • I'd be willing to bet that the psychiatrists *can* help and did offer you suggestions, perhaps meds, therapy or some other treatment but you could not hear their advice. Sometimes that happens.
