My 21 year old son has the symptoms of Cushings disease. These are, swollen face, swollen hump on forehead and back of neck, acne, stretch marks on body, and rapid weight gain. These all appeared suddenly between ages 18 and 19. He has been seen by several Doctors, including two Endocrinologists, Allergist, Oncologist, and Facial Specialist. All say this looks like Cushings but Tests do not verify this diagnoses. He has had at least three 24 hour urine tests, saliva tests over three month period, sample given every 2 weeks, and another round of saliva tests with sample given every other month for a period of one year, all looking for evidence of high Cortisol levels. None of these tests ever showed signs of abnormal Cortisol production. Also had several body and head scans looking for tumors on pituitary and adrenals. All negative. Also had a Lymph node biopsied for possible Lymphoma which was negative. Condition remains and is untreated. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE HAD THIS PUZZLING PROBLEM:mad: CAN YOU HELP??

  • Maybe paraneoplastic syndrome. They looked everywhere? For example: prostate, pancreas, hypothalamus ....?

HAS ANYONE OUT THERE HAD THIS PUZZLING PROBLEM:mad: CAN YOU HELP??-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am a female who has all the physical criteria for Cushings Syndrome, but also had numerous tests that were inconclusive. I've been dealing with this for over 15 years. This year, I was developing severe back issues and through an MRI, found an adrenal adenoma. I am in the process of starting with a new endocrinologist, but at least now I have some sort of evidence of what's caused my symptoms all these years. All I can see is keep being persistent in seeking out what is happening to your son. I hope you get some resolution soon.

  • Yes, I have been experiencing almost all of the Cushings symptoms for the past 20 years and have been through every test trying to diagnose Cushings and many protocols trying to cure it. Nothing has worked! It has ruined my life.....
