Just over a year ago I was diagnosed with optic neuritis and nystagmus. VEP test confirms delay in the left eye, slight delay in the right. I also had a numb, tingly spot on my upper back and was referred to a neurologist to check for MS. Two MRIs since have come back clean. Blood tests, including ANA, ataxia and paraneoplastia were normal. Other syptoms I have had are: flashes when I move my eyes; cataracts; memory problems; jumbled words and not being able to find the right word; GERD; kidney stones; and stiff joints and back spasms, particularly at night and when I am stressed (is this called myoclonus?). I don't know what is relevant so I am listing everything. I am a 30-year-old female.
My question is this: given the negative tests, what are the chances these symptoms are from MS or lupus, or what other things could it be? My neurologist won't diagnose me with anything at the moment, though she is certain there is some nerve problem going on, and I can't have treatment or more tests until my baby is born.
