i've been having stomach problems for the last couple years. part of my issue is some heartburn, which is what first caught my attention. i had never had heartburn, and didn't even understand that's what was happening. since then, i've been prescribed medication for it and the heartburn seems to be under control.
however, another symptom was that i would sometimes react badly to certain foods by having sudden diarrhea. for a while, it seemed like the things that would bother me made sense and bother other people too-spicy food, red sauce, fried food, etc. sometimes dairy would/does bother me but it just depends! unfortunately, a few months ago i started having diarrhea with foods that didn't bother me most of the time. now, i stay away from what i know upsets my stomach, but now and then i just have diarrhea out of nowhere. i went to the doctor and had a scope of my stomach done because he wanted to check for ulcers. i've already had an upper GI as well; both came back completely normal. i just can't figure out my symptoms.
tonight i ate some chicken wings (no sauce) and i've been spending the evening in the bathroom. four days ago, i ate the same amount of wings, from the same place and had no problem at all. i'm just confused and frustrated. i was starting to wonder if it could be crohn's disease, but i really can't afford anymore tests right now. any ideas?
