My mother in law has been having symptoms for 2.5 yrs and she still can't get a diagnosis. It all started 4weeks after surgery (had ovary and cysts removed) when she started having a dull pain in the back of her head. Then after a few months her eye started to flutter non-stop. Then in a few more months after that the pain came forward to the front of her head and the pain got worse. Now she has stabbing and sharp pain with some days numbness. The pain never leaves the left side of the head. As of today it has traveled down her throat and it feels like she is choking and swelling. She has taken anti- seizure drugs which all have given her serious side affects. Where she has to quit taking them because the side affects are so pain full. She also had a steriod with a numbing solution given in her head by a needle in 5 spots on her head which dulled the pain for 3 weeks. Then had one more treatment and lasted a week and doctors said she could not have anymore because the shots were suppose to last 6months to one year. Now she has hair loss. Any advice would be great she is going to see another specialist this week.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
