I went to the drs yesterday becasue I'd had a pain in my lower right abdominal quadrant (all ready had appendix out so I know its not that) and then developed a low fever. Dr suspected UTI even though it didn't feel like any UTI I've had before and gave me antibiotics. She said there was no bacteria shown in the dipstick test but some grew in the culture. She also said I had ketones in my urine. Now that I have started worrying about it I realized that my urine always smells sweet and fruity and I tire easily and am always thirsty. Dr wants to recheck my urine on Monday but I'm now scared that I am going to go into some kind of diabetic coma or something. I am a 31yr old female who is not overweight. Could I have suddenly developed diabetes or could the ketones mean something else is wrong with me like cancer or something. Dr also took blood but those results aren't back yet. I'm freaking out.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
