This is really getting to me now. I'm usually one of the better students in most classes, i have a high iq, i've ran a marketing business since i was 15 so i honestly don't think i'm stupid; but when it comes to doing any type of formulas my mind just goes blank!

Like this week i had 2 tests, an economics one that i hardly studied for and an accounting one that i literally spent over 8 hours on just today. Well guess what 2/3 the class failed the economics test and i got a 93 and on the accounting one that i worked my **s off for i get a ****ing 41! Hows that even possible?

This is definitely a pattern, i'll do great in 1 math class with hardly any effort and just bomb every test in another that requires doing formulas no matter how much i study. I really don't know what to do anymore, i've even got to the point of using aderall and still nothing.

So anyone who really knows about this please help. Could this be a learning disability and if so how can i tell and what if anything can be done?

  • Probably not; it would have been identified by now. It could be teacher delivery, interest or the generalities of the test. Fatigue could also factor into the picture. There was a study program "How to Get an A in College" or something like that that has some very good suggestions. Your college could also give study skills/test taking classes.
