I have been told for about 15 years I have either depression or anxiety but I just don`t feel that is the case. I recently have been put on Metformin for my Diabetes and I have the sensation of loosing my balance, tired, jittery feeling, blurred vision, and when I lay on my side it almost feels like my heart skips, kinda like a bubble pops in my heart area? if that makes sense. When I have a bad day I can`t think of anything else other than what could be wrong with me, it just keeps in my head. I had a cat scan a few years back (without contrast) and they said everything was normal. I have been put on zoloft, then lexapro ,they didn`t help at all. I`m so tired of it as alot of times it effects doing things as I`m afraid I will have a panic attack. Please anyone have any advise I would greatly appreciate it, as I don`t know maybe it is just anxiety, I`d just like to know as they are very real symtoms.

  • Depression, anxiety and fatigue can indicate problems with the endocrine system. A very common problem with this systme is the thryoid. You might want to look up on this more.....it is treatable though sometimes it may take a while....but you do get better! Lots of times doctors miss the very common sign of thryoid problems....it is just a blood test for TSH, FT4, FT3 and the antibodies for the two common thryoid autoimmune problems called Graves and Hashimotos....if you do get the tests...be SURE TO GET all the ones I mentioned here...Just TSH alone is not enough. This my friend is a spiritual matter. I was only free of these symptoms when i sought prayer. I would almost bet you have some religous background and maybe even drug use pryor. Maybe even experience some cunfusion in regaurds as what to believe. And the anti depressants only add to the problem. If you indentify to any of this and want help email me at neilwtx@hotmail.com. Isnt it funny how i stumbled upon this today.

  • Anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms. Treat and get rid of the Anxiety and see what symptoms are still there.
