My name is Lauren and my boyfriend has been coughing up blood for the past few months on and off. Technically its not 'coughing' up blood, it just comes up every now and then mixed with mucus i suppose. He really doesnt like doctors but finally went to see one for the first time in 4 years today because it was particularly bad. He got there and the doctor really didnt seem to care at all, she asked some questions, all of which he replied no to, but then she just said he's young (25) and its all probably just normal. She said the same thing when he told her that everytime he stands up after bending down that he feels dizzy, all the time, and she didnt even take his blood pressure (which i thought is something doctors normally always do). Anyway, she ordered a chest x-ray and sent him on his way. Needless to say, he now will not go back to a doctor until, in his words, he's "taken in on a wheelchair". I think doctors are far more concerned with profits than care these days and its worrying. Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated, just ideas on what it could possibly be and what to do now considering he wont go and see another doctor now. Thankyou :)
