I have been having these seizure or tremour or whatever u want to call them, they are in my neck and head. I get a shooting pain from my shouolder blades to my skull. I feel like a bobble head. My arms go numb and my eyes feel like they cannot focus. I kinda feel like I am falling. Seems to come on more when I am driving or ridding in a vehicle. My BP is low a lot. It has never been above 110/70 but has gone down as far as 80/50. I have been beaten severly in the eyes, but the symptoms came on before that happened. I have also had an infection in my leg from a tick bite. They have done a ct scan, it said possible stroke, mri supposedly ruled that out. mri on neck showed arthritis. they have done 3 different thyroid tests only to find they were in normal range. They put me on lexapro, it didn't cure anything. If at all it made things worse. Then on top of that I developed the want to hurt myself and took the whole bottle. I think that pretty much fried my brain and then I became violent. Still have the same symptoms and I feel these guys are making me worse. Now they are making me take Effexor and trazadone. wow. lets fry my brain some more. where do I go to get the right diagnoses and tests?

  • I do not know if you want to hear this or not but for problems related to neck and back I only deal with chiropractors as doctors are completely helpless in this area for some reason. There is nothing really holistic about it its simply that discs in the spine and the part of the spine in the back of the neck, if they are out of alignment or pressed in they press some nerves inside your spine and that can cause some serious symptoms, some of which are what you seem to have. Its worth checking into if all else fails I would saygood luck keep us posted!

  • thank you but i have already tried the chriro for no relief. they sent me to have testing on my ears and thought i had meneers. that came back negative. I also have bad floaters in my eyes, memory loss, muscle spasms, and eye twitches, along with dizziness. if that helps. My face goes numb sometimes also. I get real bad lumps in my neck.

  • Well the lumps in the area of your ears would definitly cause dizziness because it would affect the middle and inner ear. I think its silly that they thoguht you had meniere's disease. I have had an accute labyrinthitis once and it is like menieres disease. Trust me you cannot mistake that for anything else. Have you been tested for thyroid problems ? I know a lot of people say that as the culprit in many cases but Certain thyroid problems will cause many kinds of neck lumps as well as memory loss. As for your muscle cramps, they May be a result of the lumps in your neck as well since nerves in your neck are closely connected to the shoulder and upper back muscles.Alternatively, Lumps in the neck and dizziness could be a viral infection, I wonder, did that theory ever come up when you were seen and tested ?

  • It sounds like whiplash to me...could have come from the beating...something like whiplash...it doesn't show in diagnostic imaging due to being in the soft tissue...physical therapy for whiplash may help..there are some nice homeopathic preparations for whiplash and then chiropractic adjustments from an expert with a good reputation in your local community...

  • the low blood pressure needs a diagnosis...it may or may not be related, but if it is lower than it usually is, you could black out while driving...it could be heart related..

  • This is about Lyme disease. Look it up."Untreated, the infection may spread to other parts of the body within a few days to weeks, producing an array of discrete symptoms. These include loss of muscle tone on one or both sides of the face (called facial or "Bell's palsy), severe headaches and neck stiffness due to meningitis, shooting pains that may interfere with sleep, heart palpitations and dizziness due to changes in heartbeat, and pain that moves from joint to joint. Many of these symptoms will resolve, even without treatment.

  • I had my doctor run a test for lyme and am waiting for the results. He seemed so sceptical I am unsure that i am being treated right and wonder if the test will even be realiable. Tried to tell me there are no real confermed cases in Ohio. Even though they just had a case of a family having it in the local paper. He said it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get the results back. All I know is this stupid effexor seems to make things worse and I have been on it for 2 weeks, When I told him that he told me to "give it a chance".

Right now I was again, 5 years later put back on anti depressants.Suposedly its not as bad as effexor its calledCitalopram. So if Effexor makes you feel worst do as I did an tell your doctor and ask about Citalopram as an option instead. I cannot say much about it yet other than what my docs have toldme I only took my first one 5 minutes ago.anyays keep posted !

I have Lyme and it took me over 20 doctors and every test or lad work they could think if before I realized I had to fight for myself to get the diagnosis and treatment I deserved. If you really want to know get your labs run through Igenex. The have labs on both US coasts and are the most relieable in the nation. I'd also recommend seeking out a naturopathic dr, they have alternative means of diagnosis and treatment that tend to work best with the unique illnesses.. I wish you luck.
