I have been constipated pretty much on and off for about the last 6 or so months. About a week ago I had actually realized that I hadn't had much of a bowel movement in about a week to a week and a half. So, I had used an enema, which did not work. So after about 45 min to an hour I had taken Correctol for Women, which had worked a couple hours later. It has been about a week or so since then and I have only gone to the bathroom a little bit. Now, I have had gas for the last week. There’s yellowish/orangish colored mucus through-out and there are seed like things in my stool. There are ones that are small and look sort of like sesame seeds and others that are bigger and sort of resemble pumpkin seeds. I haven't recently eaten seeds, whether on buns and etc. It seems that the little bit of stool that comes out has many more in it than that could be on a bun. I don't know if it could be a sign of a worm, or something that I shouldn't worry about.

Other than this, for a little over 6 months I was still experiencing constipation. I wouldn't go to the bathroom for a while. But when I did, I would get diarrhea almost all of a sudden. Along with pretty bad stomach pains, dizziness, clamminess, dripping sweat, vomiting, blurred vision, and I could barely hear, and switching from the floor to the toilet. This happened twice last month.

If you have any idea(s), please let me know. I’m hoping that I can get some information or ideas before my appointment which is a week from now so I can know if its something I should be more worried about or if it can wait a week.

  • Could be a parasite like tape worms. They sort of resemble , what you are discribing. Try doing a google search, you may find photos with the info. Could very well expalin why you aren't going to the bathroom normally. You probably should take a sample to the dr when you go.

  • I took your advice and looked it up on google and yahoo pics and read info on it. After that i was talking to a family member which had told me that it would be a good idea to be checked out before then. Whether that is what it is or not. After looking at info about it, it kind of creeps me out. Plus the fact that the stomach pains are sort of getting worse by the day. Thank you for the response. I will hopefully find out soon enough.

  • Are you taking any medications? It is possible that white seeds you are talking about are remnants from pills (capsules possibly). Have this checked to ensure it isn't anything infectious - have your stool cultured for parasites. If you do not get any diagnosis from culturing, then see if you could get an sigmoidoscoy examination and have your bowels examined.

  • Having worms can actually cause constipation cause they can block up the bowel.. they can also cause constipation with bouts of diarrhea.. and stomach pain too. You could go to your pharmacy/chemist and get a wormer for all kinds of worms (some only do thread worms.. so make sure you get one which covers the other kinds too).
