Today is one of those days that I wish I were someone else... some one normal...

Every day since I was five or six I have had daily stomach achs (sometimes ending in vomiting) and almost daily constipation and diarieha (i can't spell).
I am 22...

when I was younger around 7 or 8 they found out I had too much acid in my stomach and I had the start of ulcers. I was on zantac for almost 7 years then they just stopped the medicine... it never did anything but keep me from having bad heartburn... I was still sick all the time!
I've been to gastros, and neuros, and ers, and more doctors apointments than I can name and no one can tell me anything...
people tell me that its just something I have to deal with...
but i'm on the verge of loosing my job because I wake up some mornings and vomit for hours...

Ive been told I have Ibs, and acid reflux, and bipolar, and adhd....
but no one has ever done anything to make my day to day life better...
I miss out on things and my two year old son misses out on me because I'm too sick some days to take care of him...

does anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate...

  • Try Psyllium. It is a herb. You should be able to get it from health food stores. In some places, supermarkets have it.Milk may also be beneficial, unless you have an allergy to it.

I'm desperate...From what you describe, it's quite possible that you've had a food allergy/intolerance the entire time.I'll go ahead and list the most common food allergies, differentiating between children and adults.-- milk-- eggs-- peanuts (groundnuts) -- nuts from trees (including Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts) -- fish-- shellfish (including mussels, crab and shrimps) -- soya-- wheatIn children, most allergic reactions to food are to milk, peanuts, nuts from trees, eggs, soya and wheat. Most children grow out of most allergic reactions to food in early childhood. In adults, most allergic reactions are to peanuts, nuts, fish, shellfish, citrus fruit and wheat. Try taking foods out of your diet, one at a time, for a period of about a week or two (preferably two) . I'm pretty sure that you'll find the culprit soon, and you'll be on your way to a better lifestyle in no time =)
