Hi,
I am a healthy, 32 year old female who became sick in December and was diagnosed with bronchitis, which I've had many times before. This time the coughing and wheezing did not disappear after the antibiotics were finished. Since then I've been on 7 different courses of antibiotics, as well as Advair, Ventolin and Nasonex daily. I've had two chest x-rays and one sinus x-ray and scope, but they have all been clear. I've also resorted to using a Neti-pot twice a day. I have an appointment with a respirologist in a few weeks, but I'm not very hopeful. I am still wheezing almost constantly and coughing up mucus. I'm more than a little scared that it is something horrible. Has anyone has a similar situation? What was the diagnosis?

I was on 3 sets of antibiotics and I still wheeze and cough mucus constantly too. Its been 4 months. I use Albuterol and Qvar as well as Nasonex but they dont help much! I have had a clear chest xray. My symptoms are worsening and I am now getting a stiff neck and enlarged muscles on the side of my neck. I had full blood tests, saw a rheumatologist and I am seeing an ENT specialist too! Not sure what to do next??? Most came back normal other than protein found in urine analysis.

First I only had a stop up nose. Then I got a cough which over the past week has only got worse. And my mom is more then likely going to take me to the doctor. But anyway; your issue might be thyroid cancer. It a sickness that can go away on its own if taken good care of. But you may have to see a doctor to be positive. The symptom are * You may get a lump or swelling in your neck. This is the most common symptom. * You may have pain in your neck and sometimes in your ears. * You may have trouble swallowing. * You may have trouble breathing or have constant wheezing. * Your voice may be hoarse. * You may have a frequent cough that is not related to a cold. This is just a thought. Hope it helps
