I have had debillitating mid back pain for 5 months. Dr. says MRI findings are mild arthritis and mild disc degeneration but that should not cause my
symptoms. When I have an "attack", the pain radiates down to my buttocks and out to my shoulders. It also gives me indigestion, ear ringing and burning pain in my spine. It's hard to find any comfortable position,The worst part is lying down. I wake up every couple of hours with my whole chest cavity burning and stiff joints all over. Prescription NSAIDs don't even touch the pain and I don't want to take narcotics.
I have had PT, chiropractic, yoga, massage and nothing helps.
I was treated for lyme disease for over a month with no improvement.
Any ideas??

  • i feel ya. 4 yrs ago i got into a really bad car accident. catscans and mris showed nothing. i was complaining of pains in my stomach and sides. 4 doctors said i was faking to get pain meds. the fifth doc. said that my spine was pushing my organs foward, causing the pain. and he would only perscribe 400mg ib. but really the only thing you can do is stretch. change your diet. and if you drink or smoke its time to quit. the diet is very important. a healthy diet can change your healing process and regenerate cells. i suffer constantly from my back pains. and what strange almost never does my back hurt. its always my organs in front. or the outer edge of my groin by my legs. sucks bad if docs. cant find it. they always think your faking to get some pain meds. good luck. i know this is really not the answer your looking for but i hope it helps.
