Hello, for around 6 weeks and out of the blue I started to get a slight headache on left side of head near to temple. Comes and goes in cycles but accompanying this I have heavy limbs, constantly tired, varying levels of feeling unwell, like almost constantly having the flu. Sometimes get pins and needles. I am not sleeping well, vision is sometimes a little blurry taking noticeable seconds to focus. I feel really disassociated and at times almost like I have had a stroke. Concentration is shot. Sometimes I get what feels like a rush of adrenaline which makes me feel like I m racing, makes me anxious and nervy. Doctor can't give me an explanation, blood tests are fine. My apetitie is gone too. I am at my whits end with worry and feel so isloated. Prior thot his I have never had any health issues, I am 38 perhaps 14 pounds overweight but nothingn dratsic, don't smoke but do like a drink. Any ideas would be most welcomed.

  • You have just described, how I feel... I have found out parts of my puzzle, but not everything. If you had a thyroid panel done, ask for the results. Alot of people (including me) have borderline hypo/hyperthyroidism. Belive me, it can cause ALOT of symptoms. You should also visit stopthetyroidmadness.com when you get your labresults and post them there. They will be most helpfull in telling you if you are borderline or not. If you find out that everything is ok in that department, the I would see an endo if I were you. It sounds like you have something hormonal going on....

  • I had the same symptoms. I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome.Find a doctor who does NAET therapy or Bioset. It is a new approach to treating this sort of illness and it works. Also, find info on herbs/supplements/vitamins and a doctor who believes that CFS is a real disease. More and more are beginning to realize it is because everyday people are being diagnosed.MC

  • Thanks guys, find this reassuring. One thing I forgot to mention is that I have lost about 8 pounds in the last 4 weeks due to almost none exisitent apetitie? Is this a sympton of CFS, have done some research and most pointers suggest gain with only a few citing loss? My cycles of symptons are almost a constant.I don't really feel well at any time totally. I want to sleep due to tiredness but I have trouble actually nodding off due to my mind racing and having silly little delirium dreams. If I do nod off its for about 3 hours a night then that's it.Regards.

  • Hi,I just wanted to add that this sounds a bit like you have (very understandably) also got some possible anxiety / depression, which you could get treated if you decide to go down that track. Not to discount the flu symptoms in any way, as they need checking out thoroughly as well and are more than enough to make anyone anxious etc!Iwas wondering about food intolerances, chemical overload, leaky gut syndrome, or a virus (eg. like ross river fever, glandular fever, etc), making sure you don't have any funny endocrine issues, and maybe time to change location / career if nothing else works. May sound wierd, but that's how I recovered from chronic fatigue / anxiety/depression/funny endocrine issues about 10 years ago.All the best, I hope it gets better soon.
