my grandmother had several strokes the last 6 years of her life. she was a very forgetfull woman and so are my mother and myself. she was never diagnosed with any dementia or anything but it seems to me that there is some correlation between the forgetfullness and having a stroke. i am worried that the same thing could happen to my mother and i.

  • Yes, you should be concerned if your grandmother had an aneurysm (bulge in an artery) that caused the stroke. This runs in families, especially among women. By all means, ask your doctor about it.
