i am 29 years old and i've had a swollen, hard lymph node in the right side of my neck for over a year and also partial loss of hearing in my right ear. i repeatedly asked my family physician about it and everytime it is dismissed. almost two months ago i started experiencing extreme pain around where the node is located and a rash on the upper parts of my arms, my chest, stomach, back and hips. i decided to go to another physician where they ordered a c-scan. the results said i have a node that is 8mmx5mm and another "enlargement" approx. 12mm in the upper jugular digastric chain, all within "normal" size. i allowed three weeks to go by to see if the pain would subside along with other symptoms including, high temperature, night sweats and extreme fatigue. then my new physician ordered blood work which came back normal as well. i am to see an ear, throat and nose specialist next tuesday. is there something i'm missing here? are there questions i should be asking? should i push for a biopsy and if i am refused should i seek a second opinion?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
