I am 39 years old and until now have always been healthy.
It all started 4 months ago. I started getting pain in the soles if my feet. It got that bad that I could not walk. They looked ok. No swelling etc. But extremelu painful. You couldn't even touch them as it would hurt. Then the pain travelled into my arms and hands. It was like electicity. I would wake up screaming in pain. The doctors don't know whats wrong with me. It would only affect one hand though or one leg at a time. Then I started getting swelling in my legs above the knee and it would burn, be hot to the touch and extremely painful.
If that wasn't enough to deal with I also started getting swelling in my tounge. But again it would only be one side of my tounge.
The pain and swelling seems to jump around my body where ever it pleases.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • What kind of medications are you taking. The tongue swelling is mentioned in many drug reactions.

  • I'm not taking any medications as the doctors say because they cannot diagnose my condition they can prescribe anything as yet. So the swelling is not a reaction to any drugs because I'm not taking anything. I take pain killers when the pain is really bad and thats it.

  • Could be something like palindromic arthritis. This type of arthritis tends to migrate and the joints might or might not swell. Plantar fasciitis is most likely the cause of your foot pain and is often seen with arthritis, but its is also seen alone and with many other conditions. Read more here:http://www.palindromic.org and visit the forum here:http://www.palindromic.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=15 The swelling in your tounge sounds like it could be caused by pernicious anaemia, but that is just a wild guess on my part... Hope this helpsKiera
