I've been in a hospital for most of this past month of November with excrutiating abdominal pain below my belly button. When it gets severe it shoots up my right side and radiates to my upper and lower back. The pain has caused me to throw up and to pass out. When I first went to the hospital I had a slight fever and an infection. Doctors gave me a broad array of iv antibiotics and my blood cell count turned normal. They ruled out my appendix --- have had 3 catscans, 2 ultrasounds and a colonoscopy --- all with normal results --- I am living on painkillers to function and am still fighting the pain while going to specialists and referrals. I am bed ridden and staying on top of the pain so as to not have to go back into the hospital. Two doctors said that they believe I have functional pain that will last my whole life. I am such an active and athletic person by nature who loves to care for my family and friends. This is truly the most difficult experience of my life. :( Please help!!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
