Hi There, I started with a variety of muscle pains towards the beginning of December last year. Primarily they started in my shoulders and upper arms. The pains have migrated to my elbows, wrists, fingers and now my left hip. I also suffer occasional paresthesia in my thighs, forearms and fingers. Other symptoms that present include cramp pains in left knee(previous injury) and some discomfort when I breathe (new symptom). I have consulted with a rhuematologist and he suggested that my condition is stress related and work related ie working sat at a desk on IT equipment. Although I can to some degree understand this prognosis I am not convinced especially with these two new symptoms that have presented - can anyone help - I have been researching muscular pain-fasciculation syndrome but I rarely suffer any spasms especially the ones described eg - spasms that cease when movement is initiated.
Thanks for reading
Geb.

  • Have you looked at the possibility of fibromyalgia?.... Some of your symptoms are very like mine and I have recently been diagnosed with it after several years of suffering with it.
