My current symptoms are as follows: Inability to lose weight (have to starve my self or work out for hours to lose even 5 lbs.), irritability, chronic fatigue, lightheadedness, brittle nails, headaches, even if I sleep all night - I am tired upon waking, as though I haven't slept; most nights I wake up 3 or 4 times and can't fall back to sleep, chronic sinus infections and dry skin.

I have recently been diagnosed with vitamin D, B and iron deficiency. I have been taking supplements for well over 2 months and nothing has changed. In addition to these, I am currently taking a multi-vitamin, fish oil, calcium, vitamin c with rose hips and a glucosamine supplement with chrondroitin. I have been taking melatonin at night to try and sleep, but none of this is working. I have been on these additionals for over 6 months.

  • - All of your symptoms combined point to Sleep Apnea. Sleep Apnea can calls every single symptom you've listed. The problem is, sometimes doctors look at each symptom individually, they don't always put all the symptoms together. Request a sleep study done.My current symptoms are as follows: Inability to lose weight (have to starve my self or work out for hours to lose even 5 lbs.), irritability, chronic fatigue, lightheadedness, brittle nails, headaches, even if I sleep all night - I am tired upon waking, as though I haven't slept; most nights I wake up 3 or 4 times and can't fall back to sleep, chronic sinus infections and dry skin.I have recently been diagnosed with vitamin D, B and iron deficiency. • Have you considered food intolerances. I have had many of the symptoms that you do and found the complete cure in avoiding certain foods. You may need help with an exclusion diet because the symptoms of an intolerance do not necessarily show up immediately, for example my issues with caffeine only show up 3.5 days later. My issues with pastry show up within 24 hours. So it is quite hard work, requires self discipline and takes time, but worth it. I still haven't got to the bottom of urge incontinence, though if I drink only water it disappears completely.Good Luck it is certainly worth considering. Don't forget to take vitamins etc. that do not include lactose, yeast etc. they are excluded for a reason. Some people are intolerant to them. Also check the bioavailability of the supplements as they may not be being absorbed.
