I'm a 44 year old female. In 2002, I started experiencing a sense of stuffiness in my right ear. I thought perhaps I had swimmers ear. When I would tilt my right ear toward my right shoulder, I could bring on a sharp pain that would become very acute and then it would stop and go away. Repeating this led to neck pain so I stopped doing it. I've also had chronic pain in my neck and the right side of my back with with some tingling in the mid-section of my back. Most recently, in the past month or so, I've started experiencing a line of pain down the right side of my chest (below my arm pit area and extending below my breast). I also have pain below the bottom part of my right shoulder blade. It feels like the shoulder blade is actually cutting into the tissue. I've also had pain on the inside of my right elbow which seems to go away when I massage it. I do have a family history of breast cancer (mother and maternal aunt both had post-menopausal breast cancer although their cancers appear to be linked with hormone replacement therapy. My father died last year from cancer (lung, liver, and spine). I'm kind of freaking out because I can't seem to get a grasp on the source of my pain. I am moderately active but I have a daytime desk job. I also have a three year old whom I pick up a few times each day. I'm scared and frustrated. The ear pain is still there. It sometimes feels like the source of the pain in nerve-related but I also have what I believe to be knots in the muscles of my back, shoulders, and neck.
