I am a 32 yr old female. I have had recurring chest (aching pressing pain) on the left side and left armpit for months. Sometimes I also have pain in my breasts, other armpit, left arm, left side of my neck, jaw and left cheek. I went to the ER for sinus tachycardia in January 2008. At that time the chest x-rays and angiogram were clear. I had slightly elevated white cells but otherwise the bloodwork was normal. EKGs were also fine. A 48hr holter moniter two wks later showed only occasional ectopic beats. The cardiologist I saw said that chest pain for someone my age isn't that big of a deal. I have not had any heart or respiratory symptoms since January but the pain persists everday to some extent. I have been trying to follow an anti-inflammatory diet and have been getting acupuncture. I wish I knew what this was so I could try and get rid of it.

Thanks,
Sarah

  • I have similar symptom, My X ray was done I have swolan lymph nodes and now I am due for chest CT scan. blood work is normal. Docs think it is some sort f chest infection. You may want to go back to doc and persue it further to acertain the cause.

  • I think all those locations you were saying are all spots for glands or lymphnodes. Maybe you could have a virus affecting those? Also--it might be helpful for you to click on blazes name and check their other posts before you get too upset considering lyme disease.

Thanks,Sarah That's great you are getting acupuncture, but IME Chinese herbal medicine would be far more effective for this, especially if you have a pathogenic cause...is your acupuncturist also a certified Chinese herbalist? What state do you live in? I would seek one out if you can. Did you by chance have any history of injury or accident? BTW the doc who says your chest pain is no big deal is an idiot and you should find another one IMO. Best wishesDOM
