I was wondering if anyone has some info on this. I am a 29 year old female, athletic and no kid's. I started having chest pains about 6 months ago with occasional shortness of breath. It is constant and for the most part just a dull pain that occasional turns into a stabbing pain. I have had my blood pressure checked and its low as always 92/60. It is impossible to tell if my left arm is affected also by it because it is always numb and such from a old injury. I am debating wether or not to go to a doctor with this, just personal feelings against them :) I have no allergies no other known illnesses, only thing is a heart murmur detected years ago. I have tried both antacids and aspirin for the pain.

  • I also have had this kind of pain since I was young, I'm now 25 and in nursing school and trying to figure it out. It can come on suddenly as a sharp pain that gets worse as I breathe in. I have to take shallow breaths until it goes away. If I arch my back it worsens and is always on the left side where my heart is. My doc doesn't know and the nursing instructors don't seem to know either. It isn't related to eating, stress, medications. I'm clueless but its scary no doubt.
