Since i was a teenager i would get stabbing abdominal pain on my left side about 2 inches from my belly button one inch down, this would happen at random when i was having a period or when it wasn't my time of month. The pain would occur every couple of months. I got pregnant at the young age of 19, during my pregnancy i felt no pain at all. Then the pain started coming back at random again but it was worse when i did take a period. At the age of 22 whenever i took a period the pain became unbarable to the point where i was bed rested, until the pain went away. I have gone through doctors thinking it could be an etopic pregnancy, appendicitis to the classic it must of been a sist that burst around your ovary. In 2006 at the age of 24 my gyno finally suggested endometriosis, put me on constant birthcontrol which didnt help and with many ultrasounds preformed he decided to do laproscopy.
So in July 2006 my gnyo preformed:
Dilatation and curettage, hysteroscopy, laproscopy, cauterization of endomtriotic implant.
Since the surgery my pain evolved into chronic pain that happens every day. On a scale its usually a 7 to a 10, when its at 10 i can't move. My gyno no longer knew what to do with me and reffered me to the Montreal pain clinic at the Montreal General. Took me a year to get in, started seeing a doctor there in September 2007.
So far we've tried:
-Hypo morphine contin 6mg every 12 hours
-Lyrica 150mg twice a day (now upped to 225 x2)
-i am also on Effexor for my history of depression 75mg twice a day which next week i am suppose to go up to 150mg twice a day
-Dilaudid 4mg which i am only allowed 4 pills a day but with the pain increase along with being on the Dilaudid now at 4mg for a year i now have to take 2 pills at once which limits me to only 2 times of pain relief a day.
Please if there is a doctor who sees this and think they can help please please contact me. Or if there is anyone who is suffering from the same this... or just any form of suggestion please post a message even if its new age or chinese medicine ect. I really need help, i cant live like this anymore. Thank you
