My best friend's 3 year old daughter is currently in hospital with a high fever she has had for over a week. She is now complaining of sore eyes and ears, and pain behind her legs. The doctors have taken days to run some tests, none of which have managed to find any diagnosis. They don't seem to know what is going on. The poor child is bewildered with fever, which does not respond well to paracetamol. Doctors are 'monitoring' her, but I'm afraid something horrid will happen before they take it more seriously.
