I have had chest tightness for a few days now, centered around my left breast and up and down my breastbone. it is usually a dull pain, or like a sensation of fullness or numbness, but sometimes i feel a sharp pain possibly from a deep breath, but not all of the time. I have a tightness feeling in the middle of my back as well. I went to the hospital because of the possiblity of heart problems ( i had heart problems last year, atrial fribulation) but they said everything is fine and it isnt the heart causing it. they did an echocardiogram and everything last year and didnt find anything with the heart. in the hospital yesterday they did a complete blood count and prothrombin time and a thyroid test, which was mostly normal. they released me last night once they found out that it wasnt anything that was an emergency. My cardiologist is convinced that there isnt anything wrong with the heart, although i have slightly elevated blood pressure and my pulse is usually on the high side, and i have infrequent palpitations. all he has said is loose weight... So, what is my chest discomfort then? Its a tightness that doesnt seem to go away. looking at my lab results, my neutrophil is high and my lymphocytes is low, which makes me think i might have pneumonia or something like that. or could it just be that i pulled a muscle working outside and thats it? im a 24 Y/o male if it makes a difference. im confused and worried especially since im young... please help!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
