Goodness me, I hardly know where to start.
& slight pain on certain movement, which when I stretched, something would click and it would ease the soreness/pain.

Over the past 12 months however the pain & soreness has gotten worse.
I have been to my doctor many times, and I've been to many out of hours doctors and have recently changed my GP.

Since the summer of 2007 it has gotten worse.

Basically, when I wake in the morning, I have soreness in my chest. Sometimes if I twist upward and backward, particularly with my left arm, something will click and ease the pain. It never goes away totally.

If I twist my upper torso to the left, I get a soreness/pain down the centre of my chest.

If I twist my upper torse to the right, I get a soreness/pain in the centre of my chest all the across the front of my neck and up the left side of my neck to the side of my chin.

At times I will get random, almost stabbing pains in the 3rd or 4th rib down on either my left or right side. Sometimes when I eat it feels like the food isn't going any further down than the centre of my chest.

Also, I get a feeling, that feels like 'internal slow dripping' under my ribcage on the left from time to time.

The last thing is my heart(or is it?). I get a weird feeling, not a pain, almost as if it has stopped, which makes me react like if someone was throwing something at you, a defensive pull towards your own body. I seem to get this a few times a day. Also, there have been nights, when lying in bed, my heart(or another muscle? I don't know) palpitates or beat 5 or 6 times in quick succession like a drum, until I twist or turn quickly and it stops.

My original diagnosis in January 2007 was a viral infection of the muscle around my heart. I had an ECG and heart measured when exercising and before and after exercising. I also had a 24 hr heart monitor and full set of blood tests which came back clear

My last GP continually put things down to stress, which I don't really agree with.

At Christmas, I got checked out again.

I had another ECG 2 months ago, and another set of blood tests which have come back ok again. My last visit to the doctor was 2 weeks ago.

They are happy because the pain can be intensified or replicated by putting pressure on my chest, thats its not heart related. (Having listened to my heart and taken blood pressure etc)

I can play golf(at pace), walk etc without feeling too bad (just the feeling of something sitting inside my chest), but doing anything more strenuous is getting harder and harder.

Any ideas of where to turn to next? What could be wrong?
