I'm a little disappointed. I woke up on the 28th and had a hard time breathing with pressure on the sternum which felt like a few bricks or like something had hit me quite hard. I couldn't take a deep breath without having a hard time or pain. My airways felt constricted. I thought it would go away. But, by the end of the day it hadn't and seemed to get worse. I went to the ER. They said that my oxygen levels were phenomenal, my heart and lungs were fine according to the CT with contrast. All they could tell me is that I have a large thymus, "heterogeneous" thyroid and degeneration in my lower thoracic discs. I'm a 22 year old female that just had a baby in May. I am not currently taking any medications and have not for over a year now. I also haven't done anything out of the ordinary lately. I went to the doctor's today to follow up and without looking at my file told me it was "Costochondritis". I did research on this condition and it clearly states "sharp pain in chest" which I don't have. I have pressure and tightness in chest and airways. I need help in figuring this out or maybe what type of specialist I should see? Please help. Please help :(Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
