Previous Hx of Hypetension (on atenolol 25 mg); also taking Yaz BCP. Current Issue: I woke up last week with mild nausea which then progressed to having a bit of a light-headed feeling (like a buzz only I hadn't had alcohol). A few hours later I began having chest pressure (not pain) in the sternal area along with feeling weak/rundown. Went to ER: Negative Troponin; mildly decreased creatinine, and potassium of 3.5. Felt a bit better laying down but symptoms returned immediately when I sat up. Was sent home with suspected pericarditis (no fever or other symptoms) and have been taking ibuprofen 600 mg TID since (1 week out from visit). Followed up with Primary and had CT angio which was negative. Have had general fatigue/rundown feeling since (nausea on rarely and no more lightheadedness since first day) with episodes of chest pressure like I need to get my ribcage off my chest. Cannot relate symptoms to eating (no reflux, epigastric or RUQ pain). Pressure sometimes radiates to pain between bilat shoulderblades (few rare episodes of pain/pressure seeming directly under left breast but usually centered around sternal area). Don't feel greatly short of breath, but find I take deeper breaths when I'm feeling the pressure like I'm trying to subconsciously lift my ribcage up. Chest Pressure can last seconds or hours before resolving but fatigue/rundown feeling seems more persistent. Any ideas? Also on Enbrel for psoriasis if that stirs the pot for anyone at all. Only other thing was a large filling at dentist the day before sxs started but have not have fever or anything like that. Pericarditis still possible or any other possibilities come to mind? Would appreciate any ideas that come to mind.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
