i know that sounds bad, like "go to the er" bad.. but i've been there, done that. I have been having chest pains that are very painful, where i can't breath, passed out, dizzy, nauseous, left arm goes numb... i have been to the er and my dr. and my cardio dr.
i was born with a hole, had a closed vsd in 1981 when i was one. everything was good until a couple a years ago when they found another hole. they were just going to watch it. then then end of last year i started having all this chest pain. i have had everything, including a transesoghogeal (sp) echo. that showed another small hole. they told me that they don't know why i am having the chest pain. my cardio dr. told me "not to worry." that i'm fine. but i can't help but worry when my chest hurts so badly, i'm fainting and can't breath! everyone seems to think i am crazy, but i know that something isn't right. where do i go from here?

  • Not to be an **s but go to another cardiologist. At the least you want to find out the why to the pain. Even if it's just one doctors therory as to how the heart is causing the pain, it will make you feel validated and less stressed.Matt, Doctor of Pharmacy
