I am only 19 years old, and ive been having chest pain for about 2 months. I mainly feel discomfort during rest. the pain is located in the left chest region and also on the upper back. I am an asmatic, and i have a history of high colestrol. And these past 2 weeks along with the chest pain i have been feeling really tired, and unable to do simple tasks. I also am feeling random joint pain. I went to the doctor about the chest pain and he kept telling me its muscle pain. But i think it may be somthing worse. any1 have any ideas?

  • You may have a sleep disorder.Check out this web site and see what you think:http://www.thesleepsite.com/Sleep apnea can cause fibromyalgia like symptoms. Check out their article on it.

  • I dont think it a sleep disorder, becuse I have no problem sleeping. And I have been feeling the chest pain during the day aswell. and the slugishness is not just when im in bed, but its all day. im starting to think it might be anemia.

  • FIBROMYALGIA is characterized by tender points that occur in typical locations and that are painful when pressure is applied to them. I dont feel the pain when i touch my chest, or allpy pressure to it. it just hurts.

  • Where exactly is your pain? Hemolytic anemia would cause your spleen to hurt. Go to your doc and get a blood test.

  • I can't believe your doctor passed this off so lightly - but then there are great doctors and mediocre doctors and those that graduated at the bottom of their med school class. Hopefully you have good health insurance that does not require a referral to see a specialist because I would see a cardiologist regardless of what your regular doctor says. (I have had a heart attack and a stroke and have a total of three cardiac stents.)

  • Rd9188, I have an idea....what if you were eating foods and coming into contact everyday with items that were giving you symptoms...like joint pain?I found that I was allergic to many foods, having difficulty with my hormones, immune system, lymphatic system ect...My entire body was way out of balance...my homeostasis was shot!! The foods I was eating were causing "inflammatory response"...I had severe joint pain, randomly...often times depending on what I was eating. For years I was eating foods I was allergic to unknowingly. This is a big part of it.I had severe chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia together...yeah, no fun at all...always tired and in pain.I tried a form of accupressure after a neurologist told me that CFIDS/FM patients were finding relief in "alternative" med...as he put it. NAET/Bioset. If you read around the forum, you will find that I am not the only one suggesting this form of accupressure.A woman in this forum recommmended it. She had my symptoms too but didn't have a diagnosis from a doc. She said she went and her symptoms are gone.I've had 6 treatments and my symptoms are gone. naet.combioset.net I'm around if you have any questions...mommy cat:)

  • I changed doctors too. I got a diagnosis but I didn't get any help. I got two prescriptions...one to dull the pain and another to soothe my anxiety issues. Neither one helped. After Bioset, I no longer have pain or anxiety or any of the other 70 something symptoms I had. When you get tired of dealing with regular doctors and want to get help, find NAET/Bioset. It is the only thing that worked for me. Best wishes, mommy cat:)
