  • Hey im 17 and i think i have the same thing, i have red patches on my cheek bones and it looks like i have been sunburnt or something. They also feel slightly hotter than the rest of my face.I also have quite big bags under my eyes but i hate the redness more, people comment on it and i feel very self conscious! Its often worse on days when i havent had much sleep or after a heavy night but they are always there!you havnt found any miraculous cure have you?

  • I FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM!! - I have this condition also, and I realised it today when lying in my bed it were due either entirely or a major aspect to the compressive forces when sleeping on a pillow. As you narrow and compress your face to the pillow when you sleep lying on your chest and tilt your face on the pillow, this is which causes these cheek bone lines. At first I thought they were just terrible large eye bags.My solutions advice would be to try to sleep on your back, gently tilting your head on the pillow, or get a softer pillow to absorb the weight of your head. Or sleep with like a face pack to obstruct any compression to that region of the face at all Oh and moisturise your face frequently to soften the skin and to prepare it to recover. If this works, you should see gradual fading of the lines until I'd estimate about a month or two depending on how moist or dry your skin is you should recover completely and have a more clear and youthful face. Because you’re young, your skin should eventually re-shape.If it works tell other discussions about this, because it would be mean to leave them in the dark people who don't have the soulution to this.

  • I'm 21 and I'm pretty sure I have the same thing. At first, I tried looking up remedies for bags under the eye, but pictures that were coming up for it did not match what I had. The bags are not under or a part of my lower lid, instead they are basically on top of the part of my cheek bone that runs under my eye. I still haven't found what is causing them, although I do think they are still eye bags - they are just in an unusual spot, probably due to my bone structure. I've recently been trying to drink more water and hopefully that will help. I know that when a person does not get enough water, their body retains all the water it still has as a reaction to dehydration. Thus, drinking more water will let your body let go of the water it is storing in places like under your eyes.I'll post back if I notice any differences.

NOW 10 years down the line i notice it all of the time, consious of them, but i dont let it get me down, coz the rest of my face fine!! its only really obvious in certain types of lights. i know that my mum had the same thing, when she was younger people used to ask her whether she wore glasses (big ones like they wore in the 70's!) because the lines looked like glasses marks at the top if her cheeks. i have never noticed them on her though, so maybe this fades with age? mine have got any better though, im 23 now.Ive got the feeling that this is heriditry, kind of like dimples but not as common. when i look at mine closly (even though it looks like eyebags from a distance)..its kind of the oppoisite to eyebags in the sense that the skin and tissue closest to my eye is sticking out slightly less than the skin near my cheekbone on the otherside of the line. and these lines are a clean cut divider between the two textures of skin! nearer my eyes (where people get eye bags) the skin is very fair and quite thin.ANWAY!we have lines all over our body, dont get me wrong- i dont LIKE these, but everybody's got somthing on thier face that they dont like and that they think looks a bit wierd, but usually everybody else around them doesnt notice! embrace who you are and dont let these lines stop you doing anything in life. plastic surgery is probably the only answer, but would you really want sombody messing around with the skin around your eyes-?or have scars instead of lines? if its to do with face shape and skin textures they could possibly come back. its not a good idea. you cant change who you are, confidence definatley comes with age, im sure that you dont look like you've been punched in the face, your obsessing about it. all the best,Gracie xxxxx

I also drink more than two leters of water a day and have a very healthy diet so it is nothing to do with your diet. Its a mistery :(
