About two months ago a noticable bump began to form in the middle of my upper left eye lid. It wasn't painful at all so I didn't panic but I began to do a little research on the net and discovered it's most likely a Chalazion. So I began to apply a hot towel to it two or three times a day off and on for weeks with no results.... It never got any smaller nor did it increase in size.

Now yesterday it began to hurt a tiny bit and I noticed my eyelid began to swell some. Today I woke up and the swelling has increased to where my eye is almost shut. Now I'm nervous, but I have no health insurance and can't afford a trip to the doctors at the moment. Is their anything I can do to correct this on my own? Any help would be appreciated.

  • I had one and had to see several eye doctors. One injected it and it went away. I felt one coming on another time and used a remedy that helps get rid of styes. It wont hurt. You make a cup of green tea with a teabag of green tea. Take the teabag when it is still hot but not enough to burn your eyelid, close your eye and put the teabag on until it is no longer warm. Do this a couple of time a day. You can drink the tea too it is good for you.
